Electrochem’s reputation for safety and quality are internationally regarded as industry benchmarks. From advanced glass-to-metal seal technology to unique specially constructed surface-mount PCBs, Electrochem cell construction techniques increase safety and improve reliability and dependability.

Electrochem lithium cells are designed to be safe, even under severe conditions such as high temperature or high currents. For example, Electrochem cells are constructed with the active cell components hermetically sealed in 304L stainless steel cases with welded lids. All of Electrochem spirally-wound cells are fused to prevent short circuit abuse.

Electrochem's extensive safety testing program ensures the integrity of every cell. Our tests include shock, vibration, altitude, high temperature and short-circuit conditions. When used as designed and properly handled, Electrochem lithium cells have demonstrated an excellent safety record.
